August Empties 2016
What is August Empties? Well here is where I show you all the products I’ve been using that I’ve finally finished in that month! YAY! Don’t you all have that satisfying feeling once you empty a product? #PROUDMOMENT. Soooo there are six products featured here today, and they should all be accessible one way or another so let’s get into it!
R.R.P $ 7.17
Rexona Motion Sensitive in Classic 250ml
Nobody likes to sweat or walk around with body odour, and what I like about this body spray is that when I use it after a shave it doesn’t sting, the smell isn’t too strong, it has a light floral fragrance and it lasts long enough throughout my day. When I try to us another brand or product it either stings my armpits or I smell like I jumped into a dumpster after a few hours so I know that when I use this product I am in safe hands. The only thing I don’t like is sometimes you do get that white powdered/ashy look but I just check and brush away if needed. I’ve gone through so many bottles and I just absolutely love it! I would recommend something stronger when doing physical activity or if you are a strong sweater. I've been thinking about trying their clinical protection range soon and see what that’s like.
Batiste Dry Shampoo in coconut & exotic tropical 400ml
Need I say more? The name is enticing enough! I definitely love using dry shampoo to give my hair that little extra volume and to take away that not so attractive oily hair syndrome and this product really does the trick, and if you like the smell of coconut then this one is definitely for you. If not, try out their other fragrances available. Having dark hair it does have a little bit of a white cast when you spray it on, but as soon as you give your hair a little bit of rub, brush out and shake, it will vanish and leave you with beautiful fresh looking hair. Since I ran out of this scent I’ve been in love with using the fragrance in Pretty & Opulent Oriental.
R.R.P $ 4.29
Schwarzkopf Taft Styling Lacquer
A great all-rounder styling hair spray for maximum hold numbered at 4. I like the smell, it's not too strong of a scent. the strength of the hold isn’t too strong where it makes your hair look stiff and shiny in a bad way, and it’s very affordable. It doesn’t make your hair completely stiff, it still gives your hair that natural look, it has just enough hold for any fly ways or baby pieces of hair and will hold the hair long enough to keep the style you created. Personally I love using this spray when I curl my hair, it helps keep the curl in place while still making my hair look nice, natural and effortless.

Definitely a must have product.

Julienne soft-feel wax strips for face
We all seem to have unwanted hair and this brand of facial wax strip has just worked beautifully for my skin. It’s infused with geranium oil to soothe the skin and make that removal of hair less painful. Feeling the difference straight away compared to the sensation I would get from another brand. I was quite surprised because I didn’t read the packet information beforehand. Being on special at Priceline, I happened to stumbled upon it's pink price tag, so I grabbed it not realising the product focus was to help make at home waxing as comfortable as possible! It comes with 26 strips and 2 x post wax crème sachets that has chamomile to help calm the skin. All that’s needed is to rub the strip between the palms of your hands, peel open the double strip and use it on the area with unwanted hair. You can re-use the strip and re-apply it firmly on your skin and really let the hair stick to the wax. A helpful tip is to make sure that you press and smooth it over in the same direction as the hair growth and hold the skin taut when you’re ready to peel it off so that theirs less pull to your skin, making it less painful when removing hair, and also to peel it off in the opposite direction of the hair growth for maximum effectiveness. Garnier Skin Naturals Clean Detox Gentle Brightening Scrub
Absolutely love love LOVE this foaming facial cleanser! It’s refreshing, brightening, awakening and all about anti-dullness. With pure lemon essence added in, it gives the scrub a fresh citrus scent, and thus creating a crisp clean feeling on your skin. It has micro-beads to help with gentle exfoliation to get rid of dirt and impurities, it’s just absolutely wonderful! Every time I finish work at my very greasy hospitality workplace, I like using it as it seems that I can scrape the grease, oil and dirt off my face at the end of a long shift. I used it until it ran out and it definitely helped the dullness of my complexion and helped get rid of the disgusting grease and dirt. Keep in mind, I do have a normal/oily combination skin so it may be too drying for people with naturally dry skin, and even with my combination skin I did not use it every day only every other day.
As far as I can tell this product may no longer be available in store, but have found it for sale on EBay <3
