I was given an offer to try out the hottest trend in nail fashion Jamberry Nail Wraps!
These wildly popular nail wraps can be self-applied once heat activated and come in over 300 designs so there’s one that would be just right for you! According to Jamberry consultant Hayley Shepperd, they can last up to 2 weeks on finger nails and approximately 6 weeks on toes when applied correctly.
I was supper excited to give them a go and give a comparison to similar yet more affordable ones I found at K-mart.

I gave myself a good half hour to prep my nails and apply the product, I did as the instructions recommend which was to push back my cuticles and clean my nails before applying the wraps. Once I’d done that, I matched the size of the wraps to the size of my fingernails and found I had more control when peeling the wrap off with tweezers instead of using my fingers.
I warmed up the nail wrap using my hair dryer and applied them on. With any excess, I used nail clippers as I found them more comfortable and easier to use than scissors.
Once they’ve been applied with firm pressure using my fingers and cuticle pusher to seal around the edges, I had to cut the excess to fit the size of the nail. I then used a downward motion with my filer to make sure that it fitted perfectly and secured.
What I found is that the cheaper alternative only lasted 24hrs while the Jamberry Nail Wraps lasted about a week and a half. I was pretty impressed considering those wraps went through so much! One hr of swimming in the pool, washing two dirty puppies and dishes every day I knew it wouldn’t survive. I liked that they didn’t chip off into little bits and pieces unlike the cheaper versions as shown below. All it did was it started to detach at the front and at the edges of the nail.
Overall I’m really impressed with how these went. It was easy to apply, they look amazing, their cheaper and probably healthier than acrylic nails, the product is not tested on animals and is also chemical free! Why don’t you try it for yourself?

On a side note, they may be pricier than the cheaper alternatives but as a long term investment you would find that the Jamberry Wraps would be more cost effective and less time consuming.
